This page's goal is to demonstrate the crafting skills I have picked up over time.

I am a passionate stop-motion prop and set builder. I sculpt, paint models and create dioramas. Thanks to my animation degree and my own experience and experiments, I have been able to acquire a various skillset for all things tiny.

Stop-motion specific

I made a film with 3 wire frame puppets for the Brawl for the Relic short film. To make it a reality I learned:

  • Camera set up and rigging

  • Creating harmonized modular set pieces and props

  • Wire puppets with replacement limbs

  • Milliput modelling for hands and pin-down feet

  • Quick rigs for flying props

  • Rig removal (on After effects)

  • Editing and colour adjustments (on After effects)

Model/character making

I have created knights and monsters that have been brought to life by:

  • Clay and foam modelling and sculpting

  • Latex wrapping and painting

  • Precision masking and spray painting

  • Plastic shaping for armour

  • Sewing

Diorama/set building

To give the models and puppets a place to live or act a scene I learnt how to do the following:

  • 3D printing

  • Laser cutting and engraving

  • Woodwork

  • Silicone moulds

  • Jesmonite casts

  • Terrain building

  • Soldering and simple lighting
